Chapter 3 - The Peddler
Nynaeve / Nynaeve al'Meara — aliases: Wisdom (Sagesse)
Nynaeve semble réprimander Rand, Mat et Perrin pour leurs propos imprudents concernant le Ténébreux et le Dragon Réincarné. Elle rejette la manière dont le Conseil a géré la situation et annonce son intention d'interroger Fain. Elle met en garde Mat au sujet de sa langue, puis disparaît dans l'auberge, laissant Egwene sur place.
Chapter 4 - The Gleeman
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Sagesse)
Nynaeve sort de l'auberge avec le Conseil du village et affronte Bran al'Vere au sujet du faux Dragon et du manque d'inquiétude pour la sécurité du village, avant de s'éloigner, agacée.
Chapter 7 - Out of the Woods
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Sagesse)
Nynaeve examine la blessure de Tam et déclare qu'il ne peut pas être soigné, estimant qu'il est trop tard. Elle reste impassible et ferme, privilégiant les soins aux autres villageois blessés plutôt qu'au père de Rand, et refuse de revenir sur sa décision malgré les supplications de ce dernier.
Chapter 16 - The Wisdom

Nynaeve suit Moiraine jusqu'à Baerlon et exige que les garçons retournent à Emond's Field, contestant l'autorité de l'Aes Sedai ; elle parle ensuite à Rand pour le rassurer au sujet de ses origines et nie avoir révélé son histoire à Moiraine.
Chapter 17 - Watchers and Hunters

Nynaeve dances in the common room, then leaves with the group. She argues with Moiraine about the burning inn and the safety of the boys, ultimately agreeing to travel with them to Emond's Field.
Chapter 18 - The Caemlyn Road

Nynaeve chevauche aux côtés de Moiraine, plaidant pour une progression plus rapide et aidant plus tard l'Aes Sedai épuisée. Elle remet à Moiraine un paquet d'herbes après la bataille et observe l'argumentation entre Moiraine et Lan avant de se rendre vers la ville en ruines.
Chapter 19 - Shadow’s Waiting

Nynaeve soigne la fatigue de Moiraine, gronde les garçons pour leurs errances imprudentes et écoute leur récit concernant Mordeth tout en exprimant son inquiétude face à l'absence prolongée de Lan.
Chapter 21 - Listen to the Wind

Nynaeve se réveille dans une dépression, suit le groupe et affronte Moiraine et Lan. Après que Moiraine a prouvé que Nynaeve peut canaliser en décrivant ses réactions passées et la guérison d'Egwene, Nynaeve admet son pouvoir et accepte à contrecœur de voyager vers le sud avec l'Aes Sedai et le Warder pour trouver Egwene et les garçons.
Chapter 28 - Footprints in Air

Nynaeve rides with Moiraine and Lan, marveling at the White Bridge and fuming at Moiraine's calm demeanor and insistence on taking her to Tar Valon. She investigates the burned square with Moiraine, gathering reports from the terrified townsfolk, and later demands to know the fate of Egwene during a tense discussion with the Aes Sedai and Lan in the inn.

Chapter 37 - The Long Chase

Nynaeve waits impatiently for Moiraine and Lan, then follows them to a Whitecloak camp. She stealthily approaches the horse lines, cutting the picket ropes while hiding from guards, and mounts the mare Bela just as Moiraine creates a diversion with lightning, allowing her to escape the chaos.
Chapter 38 - Rescue

Nynaeve arrives on Bela, rescuing Egwene and Perrin from the camp. She tends to Perrin's bruises with a fast-acting ointment and confronts Moiraine about Perrin's condition. She shares her frustration with the Aes Sedai regarding the search for Rand and Mat.
Chapter 41 - Old Friends and New Threats

Nynaeve reunites with Rand, then attempts to treat Mat's fever, only to be pulled away by Moiraine as she realizes the nature of Mat's sickness. She asks if the condition is catching and if Moiraine can do anything.
Chapter 42 - Remembrance of Dreams

Nynaeve réconforte Egwene qui pleure et écoute les nouvelles sombres concernant l'Œil du Monde. Elle réprimande sévèrement Moiraine d'avoir effrayé le groupe en parlant du Tissage et du pouvoir du Ténébreux. Elle se tient aux côtés des femmes alors que Moiraine expose le nouveau plan pour s'échapper par les Voies.
Chapter 43 - Decisions and Apparitions

Nynaeve questionne avec colère la décision d'entrer dans les Voies mais accepte sa place dans le Motif aux côtés d'Egwene. Elle établit une liste des provisions nécessaires pour le voyage et défie l'autorité de Moiraine par une menace voilée concernant ses propres capacités.
Chapter 44 - The Dark Along the Ways

Nynaeve goes to her mare, follows the group through the alleys, and complains about the smells in the narrow passages. She passes through the Waygate in shocked silence and joins the huddled group in the dark.
Chapter 45 - What Follows in Shadow
Nynaeve
Nynaeve questions Moiraine about the safety of the Ways and the taint. She is shaken by the discovery of the Trolloc runes and the nature of Machin Shin, shivering at the entity's hunger for life.
Chapter 46 - Fal Dara

Nynaeve rides with the group, reacting to the signs of abandonment in the farms and the crowded state of Fal Dara. She firmly rejects Rand's suggestion that she and Egwene should stay behind, asserting their place in the Pattern. She eats and drinks silently in the dining chamber.

Nynaeve voyage avec le groupe, endurant la chaleur et l'odeur de la Brume. Elle organise l'éclairage du campement et partage plus tard une tasse de thé avec Lan, avouant sa prise de conscience de sa royauté et exprimant son désir de se rendre à Tar Valon pour devenir Aes Sedai.
Chapter 49 - The Dark One Stirs

Nynaeve has not slept, her eyes red-rimmed. She talks quietly with Egwene in the morning camp. She rides with the group, shivering in the Blight's heat and rubbing her arms. She calls out to Lan as the Worms pursue them and stares with her jaw dropped at the Green Man.
Chapter 50 - Meetings at the Eye

Nynaeve enters the sanctuary and wears a cap of blossoms. She runs toward the Forsaken to attack Aginor with her knife but is seized by Balthamel, who crushes her face and lifts her into the air, causing her to lose consciousness and fall limp onto the gnarled roots of the oak tree that replaced the Green Man.
Chapter 51 - Against the Shadow
Nynaeve
An illusion of Nynaeve appears in Ba'alzamon's chamber alongside Egwene to torment Rand, standing pale and frightened before blurring and dissipating.
Chapter 52 - There Is Neither Beginning Nor End
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Sagesse)
Nynaeve sits with the women, her eyes old and regretful as she warns Rand that he is too dangerous. She helps lift the weakened Moiraine and shares in the revelation of what the Eye contained, showing concern for the future of the group and Rand's path.
Chapter 53 - The Wheel Turns

Nynaeve helps support Moiraine on the litter and sets wards alongside the Aes Sedai and Egwene. She rides with the group through the Blight as it recedes, observing the sudden spring-like growth that follows their exit.
