Appearing in Perrin's dream, Ba'alzamon enters the kitchen, ignores the axe, and burns a wolf to ash with fire from his eyes. He claims Perrin as his own and throws a raven that pierces Perrin's eye in the nightmare.

Chapter 43 - Decisions and Apparitions

Ba'alzamon — aliases: Dark One

Ba'alzamon appears in a lucid dream to Rand and Mat, revealing that he knows their past lives and identities. He offers them power and dominion in exchange for kneeling to him, mocking their denial and revealing the existence of the Black Ajah before the dream shatters.

Chapter 51 - Against the Shadow

Ba'alzamon — aliases: the Lord of the Grave (le Seigneur de la Tombe), the Father of Lies (le Père du Mensonge)

Ba'alzamon apparaît dans le palais en ruine de Lews Therin Telamon, taquinant Rand avec des vérités sur son passé et la futilité de sa résistance. Il invoque des hallucinations de la mère de Rand, Kari, et d'autres pour briser sa détermination, mais lorsque Rand tue l'illusion avec la lame de la Lumière, Ba'alzamon recule de peur. Rand coupe alors le cordon de pouvoir de Ba'alzamon, le faisant hurler alors que sa connexion est détruite.

Ba'alzamon floats in the chamber, commanding the gathered followers of the Dark One. He reveals the Dragon Reborn has appeared and projects the images of Rand, Mat, and Perrin, ordering the assembly to hunt them and giving Bors specific instructions.
