Elaida confronts the three women, physically intimidating Elayne into obedience and interrogating them about their travels and the Black Ajah. Elayne apologizes to Elaida Sedai, claiming she forgot herself. Elaida questions them about Rand al’Thor, a youth from their village, before being interrupted by Sheriam.

Chapter 23 - Sealed

Elaida — aliases: Aes Sedai (Aes Sedai)

Elaida récupère les affaires et les papiers de novice d'Egwene, prononçant un monologue sévère sur le statut d'Egwene en tant que sauvage et exprimant des doutes quant à sa capacité à appartenir véritablement à la Tour Blanche. Elle quitte la chambre sans attendre de réponse.
