Elaida confronts the three women, physically intimidating Elayne into obedience and interrogating them about their travels and the Black Ajah. Elayne apologizes to Elaida Sedai, claiming she forgot herself. Elaida questions them about Rand al’Thor, a youth from their village, before being interrupted by Sheriam.

Elaida — aliases: Aes Sedai (Aes Sedai)

Elaida recupera gli oggetti e i documenti di Egwene da novizia, pronunciando un aspro monologo sullo status di Egwene come Aes Sedai non legata e esprimendo dubbi sul fatto che lei possa mai appartenere veramente alla Torre Bianca. Esce dalla stanza senza aspettare una risposta.
