Zittisce bruscamente Egwene, consegna Mat a Sheriam trattenendo la sua borsa di cuoio e chiede urgentemente un'udienza immediata con la Sede Amyrlin prima di lasciare gli altri sotto la custodia di Sheriam.

Verin porta il Corno di Valere, confermando Rand al'Thor come il Drago e rivelando che Mat Cauthon lo possiede e ha riportato una ferita mortale da Shadar Logoth. Avverte Siuan dell'uso del Potere Uno da parte dei Seanchan e descrive, su richiesta di Siuan, le attività delle sorelle fuggitive.

Verin reveals a fragmented page about Ba’alzamon and provides files on Liandrin to Egwene. She explains the theory of Tel’aran’rhiod and gifts Egwene a twisted stone ring ter’angreal to aid in dreaming. After Egwene departs, Verin conceals Corianin Nedeal’s research notes within her red box, deciding to leave the events of the Pattern as they are.

Verin appears in the kitchens, asking the women if they have found anything, and is described as blinking and looking surprised and puzzled to be there.
