Stepper est l'étalon gris de Perrin, nommé ainsi pour la rapidité de ses pieds. Il se tortille et secoue la tête, semblant ressentir l'irritation et l'impatience de son cavalier, avant de bondir en avant pour intercepter Leya, soulevant de la neige à chaque mouvement.

Stepper, Perrin's dun stallion, stands restive on the deck and later takes Perrin and Zarine on the ride into Illian, tossing his head until calmed by Perrin.
