Juilin Sandar nervously warns Nynaeve that the Black Ajah are guests of High Lord Samon in the Stone. He is physically abused by Liandrin to force his compliance.

Juilin Sandar confronts Mat on the rooftop, reveals he is also trying to enter the Stone, and agrees to guide Mat to the cells by pretending to capture him as a thief, fighting alongside Mat against the Defenders of the Stone.

Juilin waits outside the room, trying to peer down the hall. He enters behind Mat and warns the women that Amico is Aes Sedai. He explains that Liandrin spoke to him and he had to betray them. He tells Mat that he saw what speaking earned him and follows him out, admitting he is no fool.
