Chapter 1 - The Flame of Tar Valon

Chapter 6 - Dark Prophecy

Ingtar fights the Myrddraal outside the dungeon and later reports to Rand that the Horn of Valere has been stolen during the attack. He reveals that the gates were opened from the inside by traitors and that Lord Agelmar has sealed the keep tighter.

Chapter 8 - The Dragon Reborn

Chapter 9 - Leavetakings

Chapter 10 - The Hunt Begins

Ingtar impose à la compagnie un rythme épuisant vers le sud, ordonnant finalement qu'ils galopent pour épargner les chevaux, et dirige l'enquête sur les camps abandonnés et les meurtres le long de la route. Il commande la fouille du village de la rivière Erinin, supervise l'inhumation de Changu et Nidao, et ordonne au groupe de partir après avoir découvert un Myrddraal mort.

Chapter 11 - Glimmers of the Pattern

Ingtar ordonne un arrêt anticipé pour établir un camp défendable, donne des ordres aux éclaireurs et informe Rand que Lord Agelmar l'a nommé second, lui remettant un paquet de Moiraine et précisant que les lances suivront Rand s'il venait à tomber.

Chapter 14 - Wolfbrother

Ingtar exige des explications concernant la disparition de Rand, Hurin et Loial, puis accepte l'identité fabriquée de Perrin en tant que traqueur pour maintenir le contrôle sur la perception du groupe. Il chevauche avec Verin, répondant à ses questions détaillées sur Rand tout en gardant la vérité sur les capacités de Perrin cachée au reste du groupe.

Chapter 28 - A New Thread in the Pattern

Ingtar presses Perrin repeatedly for details about the 'Shadowkiller' and the wolves' reports. He dismounts to greet Urien, questioning the Aiel about signs of Darkfriends before losing interest and ordering his men to dismount and remove armor as they near Cairhien.

Chapter 30 - Daes Dae’mar

Ingtar arrive sur les lieux de l'incendie, mettant pied à terre dans un manteau à col haut avec la garde de son épée visible, et rejoint Mat et Perrin pour rencontrer Rand.

Chapter 31 - On the Scent

Ingtar arrives at the fire with Mat and Perrin, questioning Rand about the Horn. Ingtar plays a slashing, daring game of stones with Perrin and expresses frustration at the need to wait for the invitation to Barthanes's manor, though he ultimately agrees to let Uno's soldiers watch the location.

Chapter 32 - Dangerous Words

Ingtar accompagne Rand dans le manoir, prêtant son titre et son prestige au groupe. Il se mêle à la foule des nobles, recevant des regards méfiants des seigneurs de Cairhien qui se méfient d'un Shienaran dans un tel cadre.

Chapter 33 - A Message from the Dark

Ingtar listens to the report of the lost Horn and expresses deep despair and a sense of being lost. He vows to confront Barthanes for truth and reluctantly agrees to prepare his soldiers for the ride to Toman Head despite his skepticism.

Chapter 35 - Stedding Tsofu

Ingtar grumbles about the route but complies with Erith's request regarding armed men, ordering Uno to leave some soldiers Outside. He draws his sword during the Aiel standoff, sheathes it upon Juni's command, and observes the Aiel's adherence to the Pact.

Chapter 36 - Among the Elders

Ingtar bows formally to the Elders and angrily argues for the use of the Waygate, but remains silent when Verin intervenes. After the Waygate is shut by Machin Shin, he declares his intent to return to Cairhien to force Lord Barthanes for information, refusing to follow Verin's new path.

Chapter 37 - What Might Be

Ingtar

Ingtar questions the necessity of using the Portal Stone and initially resists Verin's authority, but eventually pledges to follow her to Shayol Ghul if it means recovering the Horn. After the chaotic journey, he stands with his sword drawn, trembling, before Verin steadies him with a comforting touch.

Chapter 41 - Disagreements

Ingtar

Ingtar commands the group to trot and dismounts to investigate the empty village, ordering Uno to search for survivors or supplies. He argues firmly with Verin and Rand, insisting on searching the ground with Hurin for the Horn rather than riding blindly to Falme. Verin questions his refusal to trust the written prophecy, and Ingtar clarifies his intent to find the Horn himself. He then organizes soldiers to disguise Hurin for tracking.

Chapter 44 - Five Will Ride Forth

Ingtar advises Rand against practicing sword forms, receives the tracking report, and accepts Verin's plan to send five riders to Falme while ordering Uno to keep the main force hidden.

Chapter 45 - Blademaster

Ingtar leads the infiltration of Turak's house, kills a guard, and engages Seanchan soldiers in combat. He urges Rand to abandon the rescue of Egwene to prioritize the Horn of Valere, but allows Rand to flee once alarms are raised.

Chapter 46 - To Come Out of the Shadow

Ingtar — aliases: Lord Ingtar (Seigneur Ingtar), Lord of House Shinowa

Ingtar hides in an alley with Rand and confronts the approaching Seanchan patrol alone. He reveals to Rand that he was a Darkfriend who intended to betray the Amyrlin Seat and chooses to stay behind to face the soldiers, allowing Rand to continue.
