Chapter 24 - New Friends and Old Enemies
Elayne
A novice with reddish-gold hair, Elayne is assigned to guide Egwene. She discusses the rules of the Tower, her background as Daughter-Heir of Andor, and her ability to channel. She introduces Egwene to Min, Galad, and her brother Gawyn, and is later scolded by Elaida for speaking out of turn.
Chapter 38 - Practice

Elayne entre dans la pièce en apportant la nouvelle de la mort du roi Galldrian et la détresse de Logain. Elle rejoint la pratique du canalage, révèle ses propres peurs concernant l'entraînement des Aes Sedai et insiste fermement pour accompagner le groupe jusqu'à la tête de Toman.
Chapter 39 - Flight from the White Tower
Elayne
Elayne se déguise en une robe bleue, monte sa jenne baie et intervient lorsque Liandrin affronte le groupe. Elle explique qu'ils ont entendu la conversation de Liandrin, traverse la Porte-des-Ombres et taquine plus tard Egwene au sujet de ses sentiments romantiques pour Rand.
Chapter 40 - Damane
Elayne — aliases: Daughter-Heir (Héritière-Daughter)
Elayne escapes the Seanchan soldiers by hiding behind a tree until Nynaeve finds her. She expresses guilt over her cowardice but agrees to Nynaeve's plan to ride to Falme, mounting behind Nynaeve on a mare to pursue the Seanchan column.
Chapter 42 - Falme

Elayne accompagne Nynaeve à travers les rues bondées de Falme, vêtue d'un manteau en peau de mouton et cachant des pommes volées dans ses poches. Elle exprime son mépris pour la soumission des Falmen aux Seanchan et défend son larcin comme nécessaire à leur survie, avant d'accepter le poste de garde de Nynaeve tout en s'inquiétant de l'appauvrissement de leurs ressources.
Chapter 43 - A Plan
Elayne
Elayne escapes the Seanchan ambush and joins Nynaeve and Min, expressing her wish for armed assistance to rescue Egwene. She travels with them to the inn and helps Nynaeve persuade Domon, standing by while the captain shares his grim experiences with the collars.
Chapter 45 - Blademaster
Elayne
Elayne participates in the ambush of the sul'dam and reluctantly agrees to wear the dyed damane dress to serve as the captive. She picks up the silver leash, prepares to follow Nynaeve, and shows forced calmness about the dangerous mission.
Chapter 46 - To Come Out of the Shadow
Elayne
Elayne accompagne Nynaeve et Min dans les quartiers des damane, aide à libérer Egwene et porte une robe teinte pour se fondre dans la foule. Elle exprime le désir de tuer les Seanchan et aide le groupe à s'échapper de la ville en fuyant les soldats qui les poursuivent.
