Byar apparaît à côté de Bornhald en tant que son second, se raidissant dans sa selle et arborant le même feu ardent dans les yeux que les Inquisiteurs. Il accompagne Bornhald jusqu'au pont pour superviser le franchissement de la légion.

Byar — aliases: Child of the Light (Enfant de la Lumière)

Byar accompagne Bornhald dans le village, observant les pendaisons et défendant les actions des Enfants avec une justification religieuse. Il exprime son malaise lorsque Bornhald révèle l'implication des enfants et les motifs cachés des Questionneurs.

Byar secures the village, receives orders from Bornhald to deliver reports to Pedron Niall, and obeys the command to stay out of combat against the Seanchan.

Chapter 48 - First Claiming

Byar gallops away from Falme with grim purpose, having witnessed the death of Bornhald and his legion. He resolves to carry the news of Darkfriend betrayal and the strange signs in the sky to Pedron Niall himself.
