Chapter 10 - Secrets

Verin Sedai — aliases: Brown Aes Sedai

Verin rides ahead of the group, sensing the approach of trouble. She attempts to negotiate with the Whitecloak officer but is forced to watch as her companions use the Power violently against them. She furiously rebukes Egwene, Nynaeve, and Elayne for breaking the Aes Sedai code and warns them that the real danger of their journey is just beginning.

Chapter 11 - Tar Valon

Leads the party through Darein and onto the bridge, casually dismissing guard inquiries to maintain her authority. She sharply silences Egwene, hands Mat over to Sheriam while retaining his leather sack, and urgently demands an immediate audience with the Amyrlin Seat before leaving the others in Sheriam’s care.

Chapter 12 - The Amyrlin Seat

Verin — aliases: Daughter, Brown sister

Verin brings the Horn of Valere, confirming Rand al'Thor as the Dragon and revealing Mat Cauthon's possession of it and his fatal wound from Shadar Logoth. She warns Siuan about Seanchan use of the One Power and details the activities of the runaway sisters upon Siuan's demand.

Verin observes the Healing alongside Serafelle, commenting on the strength of the Old Blood flowing in Mat. She and Serafelle discuss the event in quiet, gesturing conversation as other Aes Sedai leave.

Chapter 21 - A World of Dreams

Verin — aliases: Verin Sedai

Verin reveals a fragmented page about Ba’alzamon and provides files on Liandrin to Egwene. She explains the theory of Tel’aran’rhiod and gifts Egwene a twisted stone ring ter’angreal to aid in dreaming. After Egwene departs, Verin conceals Corianin Nedeal’s research notes within her red box, deciding to leave the events of the Pattern as they are.

Verin appears in the kitchens, asking the women if they have found anything, and is described as blinking and looking surprised and puzzled to be there.
