The Aiel warrior, caged in the square, is freed by Perrin. He introduces himself as a Shaarad Aiel searching for the Dragon. He effortlessly defeats the Whitecloaks who attack them and departs for Tear, leaving Perrin to deal with the aftermath.

Gaul, an Aiel companion to Rhuarc, is present on the rooftop with the black-veiled Aiel, standing behind Rhuarc before the group departs for the Stone.
