Chapter 19 - Awakening

Summary

Mat Cauthon awakens in a luxurious room within the White Tower, his mind foggy with fragmented memories of dreams, past lives, and his recent illness from the Shadar Logoth dagger. As he recovers his strength by consuming a massive meal, he grapples with the reality of his Healing by the Aes Sedai and the strange urges that compel him to speak the Old Tongue. After processing his situation and resolving to locate Egwene and Nynaeve while maintaining the secret that he sounded the Horn of Valere, he is interrupted by a soft knock on the door just as he stands up to investigate.
