Chapter 12 - The Amyrlin Seat

Summary

Siuan Sanche paces her study, anxious about Verin Sedai's return, until the Brown sister arrives with urgent intelligence regarding the Dragon Reborn, the dead false Dragons, and the Horn of Valere. Verin reveals that Rand al'Thor has claimed his identity, that Mat Cauthon holds the Horn but is dying from Shadar Logoth taint, and that the Seanchan use the One Power as a weapon. Siuan, though relieved by the confirmation of the true Dragon, worries about the conspiracy's exposure and hides the Horn, then aggressively questions Verin about the runaway sisters Egwene, Nynaeve, and Elayne.
