Chapter 1 - An Empty Road

Chapter 2 - Strangers

ランドンはマットと共に酒場の地下室へ樽を運ぶのを手伝う。その後、彼はグリーンでモイレインと遭遇し、彼女の銀貨と援助の要請を受け入れ、彼女の存在について疑問を抱きながら、彼女がランと共に馬車橋へ向かう様子を見届ける。

Chapter 8 - A Place of Safety

ランドンは父の寝台の傍らに留まり、タムが無事であることを知るために必死になる。彼はランとモアイネに攻撃者とその攻撃の意味について問い詰め、最終的に自分が標的であるという恐ろしい真実に気づく。彼は故郷を離れなければならないという知らせに苦しみながらも、トゥー・リバーズを守るためにそれを受け入れ、マットとペリンに伝える計画を立てる。
Chapter 9 - Tellings of the Wheel

ランドンは見知らぬ力に白い塔へと引き寄せられ、ミルドラールと対峙する生々しい悪夢を見るが、恐怖の中で目覚める。その後、回復途上にある父タムと朝食を共にし会話を楽しむが、庭での対峙に加わるためランに急かされて宿を飛び出す。そこでランドンは、モアイネが村人たちに語りかける様子を目撃する。
Chapter 10 - Leavetaking

Rand exchanges nervous smiles with his friends, trying hard to appear eager to be off. He helps saddle Bela for Egwene and mounts the spirited gray horse Cloud, which tosses and prances as he struggles to settle into the saddle.
Chapter 11 - The Road to Taren Ferry

ランドンはランとモアイネの後ろを馬で駆け、ドラハカーの出現に動揺し、モアイネの霧の魔法にも影響を受けながら、常にドラハカーを探し、ベラに乗ったエグエンの心配をしていた。やがて彼らはタレン・フェリーに到達し、そこでランドンは地元の人々のずる賢い評判を目の当たりにした。
Chapter 12 - Across the Taren

Rand walks through the heavy fog to the ferry landing, copying Lan's defensive posture and worrying about the potential betrayal of the ferryman. He questions Lan about the danger of Darkfriends and watches in gloom as Moiraine sinks the ferry, later crawling into the hidden hollow to listen to Moiraine's lesson on the One Power.
Chapter 13 - Choices

ランドはクラウドに乗馬し、闇の将軍のことで密かに心配しながら射撃や戦闘の技術を学んでいる。彼はエグエンとアエス・セイについて議論し、その後モイラインとエグエンの会話を密かに聞き、モイラインがキャンプに戻るのを隠れて見守る。彼はベアルンの大きさに見惚れ、トムと共に宿屋へと向かう。
Chapter 14 - The Stag and Lion

Chapter 15 - Strangers and Friends

Chapter 17 - Watchers and Hunters

Rand dances in the common room, attempting to forget his troubles, before being confronted by a Faceless Myrddraal in the hallway. He survives the encounter thanks to Lan's arrival and flees Baerlon at dawn with the rest of the group.
Chapter 18 - The Caemlyn Road

ランドンはクラウドに乗って丘を駆け抜け、捕縄とフックを使ってトロロックと戦いながら馬に乗り続けることに必死だった。彼はモイレインがワンパワーを強力に使い、火の壁を作り出す様子を目撃し、その後偽の匂い跡を残すのを手伝い、シャダル・ログトの遺跡を発見した。
Chapter 19 - Shadow’s Waiting

ランドンは、マットとペリンに続いてシャダル・ログトの廃墟へと入り、モルデスに導かれて宝で満たされた部屋へと案内される。そこで彼は、男に影がないことに気づき、その変貌を目の当たりにして安全な隠れ家へと逃げ帰る。
Chapter 20 - Dust on the Wind

Chapter 24 - Flight Down the Arinelle

Chapter 26 - Whitebridge

Rand arrives in Whitebridge with Thom and Mat, marveling at the White Bridge and later seeking information from the innkeeper Bartim. He refuses Thom's suggestion to flee to Illian, insisting on going to Tar Valon. When the Myrddraal appears, Rand is paralyzed by fear until Thom forces them to run, fleeing the town with Mat while clutching Thom's instrument cases and believing him dead.
Chapter 31 - Play for Your Supper

ランドンはマットと共に東へ旅し、馬乗りたちから生け垣に隠れて身を潜め、冷たい水と拾い集めた食事で生き延びていた。彼は空腹とトムの記憶と戦い、カエムリンへの旅費を稼ぐためにマットのルビーの柄の付いた短刀を売るかどうかをめぐってマットと議論した。彼はマスター・グリネルの農場で働き、家族のためにフルートを演奏し、ミス・グリネルに厳しく監視されていた。
Chapter 32 - Four Kings in Shadow

ランドとマットはフォーキングスを旅し、受け入れ可能な宿を見つけようとするが、最終的にザ・ダンシング・カートマンに落ち着く。彼は観客に向けてフルートの演奏を行い、彼を不審な商人であるハウアル・ゴードが注視していることに気づき、後に納戸のドアを楔で塞ぐ。ゴードが彼らをダーク・ワンに従うよう要求し、その手下がドアを殴り壊そうとする中、ランドは雷撃によって吹き飛ばされ、部屋の窓とドアが破壊される。これにより、ランドとマットは雨の中へ逃げ出すことができた。
Chapter 33 - The Dark Waits

ランドはハイアム・キンチの馬車の中で旅をし、体調は良くなったものの追手について不安を抱いていた。その後、納屋で高熱に倒れ、バアルザモン、エグウェン、モイライン、タムの幻覚を見てから熱が下がる。彼はマートを殺そうとする青白い女性と対峙し、マートがその女性の喉元に暗黒の短刀を突きつけた後、恐怖のあまり村から逃げ出し、道で倒れ、再びキンチに救助される。
Chapter 34 - The Last Village

ランドンはマットと共に旅をし、干し草の山で寝泊まりし、ファーズやダークフレンズの追跡を恐れながらケリスフォードを-navigation-する。彼らに対する陰謀を耳にし、アルメン・バントに近づき、マットを馬車に引き上げるが、彼を襲うカラスの悪夢を見てケームリンで目覚める。
Chapter 35 - Caemlyn

Rand arrives in Caemlyn with Mat, is warned by Almen Bunt about pursuers, and leads Mat to The Queen's Blessing. He wraps his sword in red cloth and white cord to hide the heronmark, presents Thom's flute and cloak to Basel Gill, and accepts the innkeeper's offer of food and lodging while maintaining secrecy about their connection to Moiraine.
Chapter 36 - Web of the Pattern

Chapter 43 - Decisions and Apparitions
Rand — aliases: Rand al'Thor
Rand questions the danger of the Ways and later tries to persuade Egwene to leave him, but she refuses. He experiences a dream where Ba'alzamon claims he is their eternal enemy, waking to find his hand bleeding from a splinter that vanishes upon removal. Moiraine heals his wound and warns him that time is short.
Chapter 44 - The Dark Along the Ways

Rand follows the group blindly in the dark, leads the pack horse through the narrow alleys, and experiences the disorienting effects of the Waygate, feeling the cold stretch time and perceive the world outside as moving in slow motion. He travels through the blackness with the others, riding his horse Red and maintaining a grip on his sword hilt for comfort.
Chapter 45 - What Follows in Shadow
Rand
Rand rides Red through the dark, examining the broken bridge and the chasm below. He feels the oppressive atmosphere of the Ways and shares a moment of comfort with Egwene before they are pursued by Machin Shin. He forces his horse through the burning gate and feels the return of natural winter cold upon exiting.
Chapter 46 - Fal Dara

Chapter 47 - More Tales of the Wheel

Rand paces restlessly in the dining hall, counting the table's length and listening to Lord Agelmar's story with unease. He questions Moiraine about Padan Fain's motives and is revealed to be ta'veren with Manetheren blood, destined to fight in the Eye of the World.
Chapter 48 - The Blight

Chapter 49 - The Dark One Stirs

Rand wakes in the Blight, washes, and saddles his horse, Red. He rides with the group through the corrupting forest, striking at attacking trees with his heron-mark sword and shouting Manetheren war cries. He feels intense fear as the Worms pursue them, nearly turning back before reaching the sanctuary, where he is bewildered by the sudden change in landscape and the appearance of the Green Man.
Chapter 50 - Meetings at the Eye
Rand
Rand leads the group toward the Green Man and follows Moiraine down into the cavern of the Eye of the World. He is terrified by the presence of the pool and the arrival of the Forsaken. When Aginor and Balthamel appear, Rand grabs Egwene to stop her from rushing to Nynaeve's aid, pulls her away from the confrontation, and flees with the group as Moiraine battles Aginor.
Chapter 51 - Against the Shadow
Rand
Rand flees Aginor across the mountain, eventually being cornered on a precipice. He taps into the One Power, summoning a massive storm of fire and earth that destroys the Trolloc army. He then enters a dreamscape to confront Ba'alzamon, where he uses a blade of light to sever the Dark One's power cord and destroy his opponent's form.
Chapter 52 - There Is Neither Beginning Nor End
Rand / Rand al'Thor
Rand awakens amidst the ashes of Aginor, realizing he channeled saidin to defeat the Dark One and his general. He finds his friends, explains his survival with a lie, and listens as they unveil the treasures of the Eye, including the Horn of Valere and the Dragon banner, while grappling with their fearful reaction to his use of the One Power.
Chapter 53 - The Wheel Turns
Rand
Rand climbs into his saddle with a sense of loss, rides out of the Blight past the receding corruption, and trains with his sword on a balcony in Fal Dara while contemplating his desire to leave home alone. He confronts Egwene, refusing to go to Tar Valon or return to the Two Rivers, and resolves to vanish without telling anyone, including Moiraine, who remains unaware of his plans.
