Chapter 3 - The Peddler

Chapter 4 - The Gleeman

Nynaeve emerges from the inn with the Village Council, confronting Bran al'Vere about his prioritization of the gleeman and guests over the danger of the False Dragon. She leaves abruptly after a heated exchange, followed by Egwene.
Chapter 7 - Out of the Woods

Examining Tam's wound, Nynaeve tells Rand that she cannot help him and has other patients to tend to. She rejects the urgency of Rand's pleas. Later, after Bran al'Vere has Thom Merrilin send for her, she refuses to come to the inn, and Egwene is summoned away to her side.
Chapter 16 - The Wisdom

Nynaeve arrives in Baerlon, confronts Moiraine about her authority and the boys' safety, and later walks with Rand to explain that she came to save them from the Village Council's deliberation and to reassure him about his identity.
Chapter 17 - Watchers and Hunters

Nynaeve dances with Rand and with Moiraine before following them to the gate. She angrily confronts Moiraine and Lan about the burning inn and the loss of Master Fitch's livelihood, accusing them of prioritizing the boys over innocent lives.
Chapter 18 - The Caemlyn Road

Nynaeve rides with the group, questions Moiraine's pace, and fights beside Moiraine against the Trollocs. She gives Moiraine a packet of herbs to help her recover and helps support her as they enter the city.
Chapter 19 - Shadow’s Waiting

Nynaeve tends to Moiraine's exhaustion with herbs and later scolds the boys for their recklessness. She argues with Thom about Moiraine's state and listens to their story with a narrow eye, confirming that Mat is likely to blame for the mischief.
Chapter 21 - Listen to the Wind

Nynaeve awakens in a hollow near the river and stalks the bank to find the others, eventually spying on Moiraine and Lan. She is confronted by Moiraine, who deduces her ability to channel by recalling her past healing of Egwene. Though furious and resistant, Nynaeve admits to her power and agrees to join the group south, vowing to find Egwene.
Chapter 28 - Footprints in Air

Nynaeve rides with Moiraine and Lan, marveling at the White Bridge while secretly judging the Aes Sedai's calm demeanor. She interrogates townsfolk about the fires and a fleeing boat, then confronts Moiraine about her priorities regarding Egwene and the boys before they depart for Caemlyn.
Chapter 37 - The Long Chase

Nynaeve waits in the dark woods for Moiraine and Lan, gripping the reins of their horses. She listens to their plan to free a prisoner from the Whitecloak camp and secretly cuts the picket-ropes of the mounted horses. Finding Bela, she realizes Egwene is among the captives and escapes on the mare as lightning scatters the horses and wolves attack.
Chapter 38 - Rescue

Nynaeve rides Bela to meet the group at the rendezvous point and hugs Egwene. She heals Perrin's bruises with an ointment, notices his yellowed eyes with worry, and argues with Moiraine about the lack of a solution, before storming off in anger.
Chapter 41 - Old Friends and New Threats
Nynaeve / Pretty Nynaeve / Wisdom Nynaeve — aliases: the Wisdom (知恵)
Reunites with Rand, hugging him and expressing relief. She attempts to treat Mat but is repelled by his accusations, then is physically pulled away from him by Moiraine. She listens in horror as Moiraine explains the cursed nature of Mat’s dagger.
Chapter 42 - Remembrance of Dreams

Nynaeve enters the library with the group, joining the discussion. She comforts Egwene when she cries and sharply rebukes Moiraine for using frightful talk about the Pattern, asserting that such language should not be used on the youths. She listens to the revelation about the ta'veren and the threat to the Eye of the World with fear and horror.
Chapter 43 - Decisions and Apparitions

Nynaeve angrily protests the plan to enter the Ways but ultimately agrees to stay with Egwene rather than leave them. She makes a list of necessary supplies and listens to the group's decisions with resigned defiance, challenging Moiraine's authority where possible.
Chapter 44 - The Dark Along the Ways

Nynaeve waits anxiously in the back hall and stable, follows the group into the stable and cellar, and rides into the Ways. She complains about the smells in the alley and enters the Ways in shocked silence before hurrying to join the group.
Chapter 45 - What Follows in Shadow

Nynaeve questions Moiraine's calmness and the nature of the threat, shivering at the description of the Machin Shin. She rides out of the Ways and hugs Egwene.
Chapter 46 - Fal Dara

Nynaeve rides with the group, frowning at the dead landscape and agreeing with Egwene’s observation about the farmers' recent departure. She firmly rejects Rand’s suggestion that she and Egwene should stay behind, asserting her commitment to the Pattern and her refusal to show less courage than the men. Nynaeve helps carry Moiraine to the litter and later sets wards with her and Egwene. She rides south with the group into Shienar. In Agelmar's study, she is present as Moiraine addresses the Lord.
