The gnarled thatcher of Emond's Field who appears to complain about the weather and Nynaeve's predictions. He spreads gloom about the lack of storks and the possibility of the winter ending, before fleeing the Mayor's wrath to seek mulled wine.

Chapter 3 - The Peddler

Cenn Buie desafia a autoridade do Conselho e a narrativa de Fain, recusando-se a permanecer em silêncio sobre a falta de primavera e o perigo do Dragão Renascido. Ele argumenta veementemente com o Prefeito e Tam, e então volta sua atenção para zombar de Old Bil Congar por nomear o Umado.

Chapter 4 - The Gleeman

Cenn / Cenn Buie — aliases: old grandfather (avô idoso)

Cenn Buie critica as despesas do gleeman e reclama da falta de respeito de Nynaeve. Ele é repreendido pelo prefeito Bran al'Vere por agir como um Aiel de véu negro e é acalmado por Haral Luhhan.

Chapter 9 - Tellings of the Wheel

Cenn Buie fica desconfortavelmente na frente da multidão, murmurando sobre o perigo das Aes Sedai e, mais tarde, admitindo que Moiraine o ajudou, sentindo-se envergonhado pela repreensão de Bran antes de partir.
