Raen — aliases: Seeker, Mahdi

Raen is the gray-haired leader of the Tuatha'an band, known as the Seeker. He welcomes Elyas and the youths to his fire, explains the Tinkers' search for a lost song, and recounts a report from the Aiel Waste about a dying warrior girl's warning regarding the Dark One.

Raen percibe problemas al mirar al cielo y oler el aire, decidiendo cambiar la dirección de los Tuatha'an. Cancela los planes para una fiesta de despedida debido a la necesidad de comenzar temprano, intercambia palabras ceremoniales de paz con Elyas y los acompaña hasta el borde del bosque.
