Chapter 10 - Secrets

Nynaeve — aliases: Accepted

Nynaeve rides with Egwene, expressing anxiety about the weather-like storms she senses and the state of Mat's fever. She channels the One Power during the confrontation with the Whitecloaks to help disperse them, then argues with Verin Sedai about the necessity of their actions to save Mat and avoid capture.

Chapter 11 - Tar Valon

Nynaeve

Accompanies the group to the White Tower, visibly irritated by Verin’s reprimands and Sheriam’s stern warnings about their unauthorized departure. She allows herself to be led away by the Accepted Theodrin, glowering at Faolain before following her guide to her assigned rooms.

Chapter 13 - Punishments

Nynaeve stands before Siuan, where she defiantly argues against the fairness of her punishment and mentions Liandrin’s betrayal. She accepts the order to be raised to Accepted and assigned to the kitchens, though her nostrils flare in anger at the prospect of scrubbing pots.

Chapter 14 - The Bite of the Thorns

Nynaeve

Nynaeve questions Siuan about the mission, protesting that they are insufficiently trained and powerless against full sisters. She eventually agrees to hunt the Black Ajah to avoid waiting in ignorance, accepts the Amyrlin's authority letter with wonder at the new power it grants her, and asks about Mat Cauthon's condition before leaving.

Chapter 15 - The Gray Man

Nynaeve walks with Egwene, channeling Air to trap the Gray Man assassin who had shot the bolt. Sheriam Sedai identifies the corpse as a Soulless and Gray Man. Nynaeve confronts Sheriam with direct questions about her presence. Afterward, she insists Egwene remember the danger of the Black Ajah and notes that the Gray Man was stabbed, implying another attacker.

Chapter 16 - Hunters Three

Nynaeve asserts her authority in her Accepted room, ordering Galad and Gawyn al'Vere to leave her quarters. After the young men depart, Nynaeve and Egwene discuss the Amyrlin's mission to hunt the Black Ajah, with Elayne insisting on being included in the secret. Nynaeve expresses suspicion that the White Tower views Mat Cauthon and the three of them merely as tools, and proposes that they channel together to attempt to Heal him.

Chapter 17 - The Red Sister

Nynaeve attempts to deflect Elaida’s questioning by citing the Amyrlin’s orders, maintains a firm gaze, and questions Sheriam about the Gray Man's death.

Chapter 18 - Healing

Nynaeve

Nynaeve accompanies Egwene and Elayne to the healing chamber, where she channels to trap the air and feels the overwhelming power of the Aes Sedai. She confirms that Mat shouted commands to the sisters before collapsing after the dagger is removed.
