Elaida confronts the three women, physically intimidating Elayne into obedience and interrogating them about their travels and the Black Ajah. Elayne apologizes to Elaida Sedai, claiming she forgot herself. Elaida questions them about Rand al’Thor, a youth from their village, before being interrupted by Sheriam.
