Chapter 10 - Secrets
Elayne — aliases: Daughter-Heir of Andor
Elayne rides with the group, worrying over Mat's condition. She attempts to use her authority as Daughter-Heir to bluff the Whitecloaks, and upon Egwene's attack, she joins in channeling the One Power, causing further ground eruptions that help scatter the enemy. She is later shocked by her own actions and Verin's angry rebuke.
Chapter 11 - Tar Valon
Elayne
Enters Tar Valon riding beside Egwene and Verin, displaying paleness as Verin warns of potential stilling or death. She stands silent under Sheriam’s scolding and is escorted to her quarters by the Accepted stationing herself beside Elayne.
Chapter 13 - Punishments

Elayne speaks through the wall with Egwene, expressing fear of being stilled and hope for her mother’s protection. She accompanies Egwene to Siuan, asserts her desire to be Aes Sedai despite the punishment, and learns that her mother’s order to return to Caemlyn has been overridden by the Amyrlin.
Chapter 16 - Hunters Three

Elayne waits in her new Accepted quarters, anxious about her missing mother and the attention of Galad and Gawyn. After they leave, she reveals her willingness to join Egwene and Nynaeve's dangerous mission against the Black Ajah, citing her duty as Daughter-Heir, and expresses indignation at the Amyrlin's potential neglect of Mat.
Chapter 17 - The Red Sister

Elayne stands silently under Elaida’s glare, briefly defies her before succumbing to intimidation, and learns of her impending raise to Accepted status.
Chapter 18 - Healing
Elayne
Elayne is brought to the room and holds Egwene’s hand as the healing takes place. She asks the Amyrlin about Mat’s shouting and is informed that he was commanding soldiers in the Old Tongue from the past.
