Chapter 6 - Dark Prophecy

Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom

Nynaeve knits in Egwene's room, revealing she is wearing a silk dress gifted by Lady Amalisa and warning Rand of suspicious activity in the keep. She tries to stop Rand from running into the dungeon but fails, later allowing him to pass.

Chapter 8 - The Dragon Reborn

Nynaeve senses an impossible storm and searches frantically for Rand through the keep. She receives a heavy gold signet ring from Lan Mandragoran and has a heated confrontation with Moiraine, who reveals that Nynaeve will also be going to Tar Valon. Nynaeve resolves to learn the One Power and oppose Moiraine.

Chapter 12 - Woven in the Pattern

Nynaeve accompanies Egwene on the journey, riding with the Aes Sedai and later participating in channeling lessons. She becomes furious during a lesson with Verin, accidentally causing blankets to burst into flame before retreating into her tent in a sullen mood.

Chapter 18 - To the White Tower

Nynaeve travels to Tar Valon with Egwene, where she endures a painful demonstration of the Amyrlin’s power that leaves her physically helpless and cut off from the Source. She is informed by Sheriam that she will be made an Accepted immediately, bypassing novice training, a fact that shocks her despite her previous desire to avoid the novice stage.

Chapter 23 - The Testing

Nynaeve enters the ter'angreal to face her greatest fears, first defeating Aginor in a stone maze by channeling the One Power. She then experiences a twisted version of Emond's Field ruled by Malena Aylar, abandoning her friends to escape, and finally rejects a romantic future with Lan Mandragoran by forcing a return through sheer will and channeling. Covered in scars from blackthorn thorns, she kneels before the Amyrlin Seat and is formally accepted as an Accepted.

Chapter 38 - Practice

Nynaeve paces her room while Egwene channels, expressing her fear of the One Power's pull and her anger at an incident with another Accepted. She is recruited by Liandrin for the mission to Toman Head and reluctantly agrees, later managing the logistical details of their secret departure and accepting Elayne's inclusion in the group.

Chapter 39 - Flight from the White Tower

Nynaeve leads the group with purposeful confidence, using her authority and a threat to ensure the stableman saddles their horses. Elayne tosses a coin to the stableman as a gesture of thanks. Nynaeve navigates the Waygate with caution, providing lanterns and dark humor to maintain morale, and expresses her distrust of both Liandrin and Moiraine while monitoring the progress of their escape.

Chapter 40 - Damane

Nynaeve hides in the brush, strikes the Seanchan with lightning, loses her connection to the Power, and rides with Elayne toward Falme, resolved to save her friends.

Chapter 42 - Falme

Nynaeve al'Meara and Elayne navigate the crowded streets of Falme, spotting a man in a bronze robe that Nynaeve suspects is Padan Fain. She observes the Seanchan patrols and the collared damane with disgust, plotting a rescue while hiding her growing hunger and anger.

Chapter 43 - A Plan

Nynaeve arrives in Falme with Elayne and takes charge of the rescue plan, persuading Bayle Domon to sail by revealing the Serpent ring and promising assistance against damane. She maintains a facade of absolute certainty despite her fear, later collapsing against the inn door when their backs are turned.

Chapter 45 - Blademaster

Nynaeve ambushes a sul’dam, uses the a’dam collar to threaten and torture her for information, and dons the sul’dam’s dress to infiltrate Falme with Min and Elayne.

Chapter 46 - To Come Out of the Shadow

Nynaeve

Nynaeve, disguised as a sul’dam, leads the rescue of Egwene, removes her own sul’dam bracelet with disgust, and uses lightning to shield the group from a falling fireball, allowing them to escape down an alley.
