Ba'alzamon — aliases: Great Lord of the Dark, Heart of the Dark
The entity Ba'alzamon appears floating above the gathered council in the shadow of Shayol Ghul, wearing a blood-red robe and mask with burned hands. He commands the Dark Friends to grovel, reveals the return of the Dragon, and projects images of three young men before privately instructing each attendee on their role in the Dark One's plans.
Chapter 15 - Kinslayer
Ba'alzamon — aliases: Father of Lies
A masked figure cloaked in shadow appears to Rand in the fog, revealing himself as Ba'alzamon. He mocks Rand's denial of his past as the Dragon, claims to be inextricably linked to him, and offers him power and immortality if he serves the Great Lord of the Dark, which Rand vehemently refuses.
Chapter 47 - The Grave Is No Bar to My Call
Ba'alzamon
Ba'alzamon confronts Rand in the mists, taunting him with his past as Lews Therin and offering him power, before being struck through the heart by Rand's heron-mark sword and vanishing in an explosion of fire.
Chapter 49 - What Was Meant to Be
Ba'alzamon
Ba'alzamon is not present but is discussed by Moiraine. Rand recalls killing him with his heron-mark sword, though Moiraine notes the Dark One is not slain so easily and appeared in the sky above Falme.
