Selene é uma mulher alta, de pele marfim, originária de Cairhien, que aparece neste mundo, salva a si mesma de um grolm, aplica pomada na mão de Rand e afirma ter conhecimento sobre as Pedras de Portal.

Selene guides Rand's party to a Portal Stone hidden in the hills. She instructs Rand on how to activate the Stone and expresses confidence in his ability to save them, later explaining the nature of the mirror worlds and the potential location of the Horn of Valere.

Chapter 19 - Beneath the Dagger

Selene — aliases: my Lady (minha Senhora)

Selene spends the night tempting Rand with promises of glory and kingship if he finds the Horn. She changes her dress using Rand’s shirt, joins him and Loial to retrieve the Horn from Fain’s camp, and insists they head toward Cairhien to evade Fain’s wrath.

Chapter 20 - Saidin

Selene exige ver o Chifre de Valere e tenta seduzir Rand para que ele o tome para si, oferecendo-lhe glória e sua companhia. Ela o alerta sobre o perigo representado pelos guardas da escavação e, mais tarde, o segue até a estalagem dos Nove Anéis, onde faz sua última tentativa de convencê-lo a reivindicar o artefato.

Chapter 21 - The Nine Rings

Selene accompanies Rand to the inn, displaying aloofness toward the staff and suspicion toward Caldevwin. She departs the inn secretly during the night, leaving Rand a note sealed with a crescent moon and stars, stating she must wait for him in Cairhien.

Selene aparece para resgatar Rand e Loial dos Trollocs. Ela se junta a eles na fuga para o pátio dos Iluminadores, onde é separada de Rand e Loial durante a explosão e, mais tarde, envia a ele uma nota selada com uma lua crescente e estrelas.
