Chapter 24 - New Friends and Old Enemies
Elayne
A novice with reddish-gold hair, Elayne is assigned to guide Egwene. She discusses the rules of the Tower, her background as Daughter-Heir of Andor, and her ability to channel. She introduces Egwene to Min, Galad, and her brother Gawyn, and is later scolded by Elaida for speaking out of turn.

Chapter 43 - A Plan

Elayne escapes the Seanchan ambush and joins Nynaeve and Min, expressing her wish for armed assistance to rescue Egwene. She travels with them to the inn and helps Nynaeve persuade Domon, standing by while the captain shares his grim experiences with the collars.
Chapter 45 - Blademaster
Elayne
Elayne participates in the ambush of the sul'dam and reluctantly agrees to wear the dyed damane dress to serve as the captive. She picks up the silver leash, prepares to follow Nynaeve, and shows forced calmness about the dangerous mission.
Chapter 46 - To Come Out of the Shadow
Elayne
Elayne accompanies Nynaeve and Min into the damane quarters, helps free Egwene, and wears a dyed dress to blend in. She expresses a desire to kill the Seanchan and helps the group escape the city by running from the pursuing soldiers.
