Ba'alzamon manifests in the fog before Rand, revealing his burned face and claiming their fates are linked. He tempts Rand to channel the One Power, offering power and immortality in exchange for service to the Shadow, and vanishes after Rand's refusal, leaving behind a magical illusion of fire.

Ba'alzamon aparece no sonho de Rand segurando a bandeira do Dragão, revelando seu rosto queimado e olhos flamejantes. Ele zomba de Rand como Lews Therin, oferecendo-lhe poder para deter a loucura do Poder Único em troca de serviço, e desaparece após Rand declarar seu verdadeiro nome, deixando marcas de dedos carbonizados na cadeira.

Chapter 47 - The Grave Is No Bar to My Call

Ba'alzamon appears in the mist to confront Rand. He taunts Rand as Lews Therin and offers him power. They duel spiritually, with Ba'alzamon striking Rand with his staff. Rand counters by stabbing Ba'alzamon in the heart with his heron-mark blade, causing the Dark One's avatar to scream and the world to explode in fire.
