When Whitecloaks block their path, she channels saidar to create explosions of dirt that scatter the attackers, then apologizes to the wounded officer before being rebuked by Verin for her impulsive use of the Power.

She listened to Verin's explanation of parallel worlds and the unification of the Dark One across them, then received a large, twisted stone ring that aided in entering Tel'aran'rhiod before leaving to return to her chores.

Egwene passes through the initiation arches, enduring visions of her fears and futures, and is captured and stilled by the Black Ajah after her vision where she sees herself as the Amyrlin Seat. She escapes her captives, finds Beldeine, and races to the Traitor's Court to save Rand, only to step into the arch once more to face the Dark One's threat.

She argues with Nynaeve and Elayne about the practicalities of their journey and the need to defend themselves, eventually agreeing to walk ashore at Jurene when the ship is disabled.

Egwene al'Vere uses the twisted stone ring to enter Tel'aran'rhiod, finds Joiya Byir near Callandor, shields her from the Source, and beats her with Air to exact revenge and secure their escape, realizing she has learned to weave independent flows of power.
Chapter 55 - What Is Written in Prophecy

Egwene navigates the dreaming Stone of Tear, breaking a large iron lock with Earth and finding empty cells. She locates the dreaming Amico Nagoyin, shields her from the One Power using thick flows of Spirit and Air, and opens her cell door. She wakes up in her physical body to find Nynaeve and Elayne have freed themselves, and she attempts to shield Amico again before Mat Cauthon arrives.
