Chapter 14 - The Bite of the Thorns

Egwene listens with uncertainty to Siuan's musings on trust and feels a chill at the Amyrlin's momentary hesitation. She reluctantly agrees to the mission to hunt the Black Ajah alongside Nynaeve after fearing for their safety, and accepts a letter of authority from Siuan.
Chapter 15 - The Gray Man

Egwene walks with Nynaeve, expressing fear of the Black Ajah and channeling to sense danger. She is nearly killed by a crossbow bolt from a Gray Man, which she narrowly avoids by stopping. After the Gray Man is killed by an unseen assailant, Egwene obeys Sheriam's orders to remain silent, retrieves her cloak, and realizes the crossbow bolt has disappeared, confirming the presence of another Soulless.
Chapter 16 - Hunters Three

Egwene enters Elayne's room and is immediately affected by Galad's presence, feeling her pulse quicken and attempting to suppress her attraction to him. After the al'Vere brothers depart, she listens to Nynaeve and Elayne's plans to hunt the Black Ajah and Heal Mat, agreeing to join the risky channeling attempt before being interrupted by an Aes Sedai.
Chapter 17 - The Red Sister

Chapter 18 - Healing

Chapter 21 - A World of Dreams

Egwene accepts a stone ring ter’angreal intended to help her navigate this dream world, despite her apprehension about the associated risks, and leaves the room with the items and the instruction to hide them.
Chapter 22 - The Price of the Ring

Egwene undergoes three terrifying trials in a silver ter'angreal, experiencing visions of her life with Rand, a destroyed Caemlyn, and her future as Amyrlin Seat. After the trials, she escapes a Black Ajah ambush in a storeroom by channeling violently and fleeing to a tower roof. Witnessing Elaida demand that she sentence Rand to gentling, she throws herself into a shimmering ter'angreal, disintegrating into light as she tries to reach him.
Chapter 23 - Sealed

Egwene steps out of the ter'angreal shaken by violent magical feedback and recent visions, only to be formally raised to Accepted status by the Amyrlin. She endures Elaida’s cold condemnation of her wilder origins but finds empathy in Alanna Mosvani, who offers to share her punishment. After a stern exchange with the Amyrlin, Egwene seeks out Nynaeve and Elayne, joining them in mutual grief over the terrifying futures they have witnessed regarding Rand.
Chapter 26 - Behind a Lock

Egwene searches the library with Nynaeve and Elayne, channeling a ball of light and learning to attach it to the wall. She finds a link to metal that allows Nynaeve to break the lock and discovers items from Rianna's bag, noting the coordinated evidence of a trip to Tear left in the storeroom.
Chapter 27 - Tel’aran’rhiod

Egwene uses a stone ring ter'angreal to enter Tel'aran'rhiod, where she sees a chained Perrin, confronts an angry Rand, and meets Silvie near Callandor. She suffers pain from Silvie's interference and wakes up, later recounting her dream to Nynaeve and Elayne before planning to depart for Tear.
Chapter 28 - A Way Out

She questions the Aiel about their fear of the river and their history, and learns about balefire before observing Nynaeve's miraculous healing of Dailin with shock and wonder, noting Elayne's admission that she considers Egwene a first-sister despite their lack of blood kinship.
Chapter 39 - Threads in the Pattern

Egwene is captured and drugged by brigands but wakes to help Nynaeve heal Elayne. She channels a flow of Fire against the Myrddraal and later helps conceal their status as Aes Sedai by removing their rings. She rides a gray mare named Mist to Jurene.
Chapter 49 - A Storm in Tear
Egwene
Egwene sits in silence with Nynaeve and Elayne before Juilin Sandar arrives, and later listens to Nynaeve's detailed description of the thirteen women. She attempts to read but is distracted, then enters Tel'aran'rhiod using the ter'angreal, finding Liandrin and the other Black Ajah sisters waiting for Callandor in the Heart of the Stone before waking up and warning her companions.
Chapter 55 - What Is Written in Prophecy

Egwene enters Tel’aran’rhiod, finds Amico Nagoyin in a cell, and shields her using the Power. She wakes in the physical cell as Mat Cauthon arrives to rescue them.
