Alanna explains to Egwene that a magical reverberation caused the ter'angreal to nearly destroy itself and apologizes for not stopping it sooner. She asks to share Egwene’s kitchen punishment, but when denied by the Amyrlin, she accepts a visit to Sheriam as compensation. She also explains the warrior history and duty of the Green Ajah to Egwene.
