Элиас проводит группу через лес, идя рядом с ними, пока три волка ведут разведку. Он успокаивает агрессивных мастифов Тинкера свистом и приводит путешественников в лагерь, где Рээн встречает их, оставаясь настороженным к пацифизму Тинкеров и защищая Перрина и Эгвеин от попыток Рээна обратить их.

Elyas refuses to hurry the Tuatha'an, insisting on waiting for 'something' to guide them. He declines to explain his reasons to Perrin, guides the departure after sensing danger, and joins the youths on their journey, communicating with his wolves about the impending threat.

Elyas leads the desperate escape, using his heightened senses and wolf communication to navigate around the raven hunt. He guides the group into the stedding, explains the history of Artur Hawkwing's statue, and maintains a grim vigil over the landscape.
