Chapter 16 - In the Mirror of Darkness

Red carries Rand through the landscape, gallops up the mound to the monument, and stands alongside Selene's mare while Rand speaks with her.

Chapter 17 - Choices

Red

Red carries Rand during the flight from the grolm, stumbling on the rocky slopes, and is transported along with the group to the real world through the Portal Stone.

Chapter 20 - Saidin

Red

Red, Rand's stallion, carries him through the landscape and shies at Rand's shout at the excavation site, nearly falling into the pit before scrambling to safety.

Chapter 21 - The Nine Rings

Red

Red, Rand's stallion, is present at the inn. In the morning, Rand climbs onto Red's saddle to join the escort, and the horse is ready to lead the group out of Tremonsien toward Cairhien.

Chapter 32 - Dangerous Words

Red

Red carries Rand to the foot of the manor's stairs, where Rand gets down from his back before entering the building.

Chapter 37 - What Might Be

Red

Red stands stiff-legged and quivering with wild, rolling eyes alongside the other horses during the psychic surge, then is mounted by Rand to ride west.

Chapter 45 - Blademaster

Red

Red is the stallion Rand rides into Falme, which is tied up in the horse lots while Rand infiltrates the house on foot.

Chapter 47 - The Grave Is No Bar to My Call

Red

Red rears wildly during Rand's confrontation with Ba'alzamon and then disappears when Rand is thrown from his saddle into the mist.
