Chapter 10 - The Hunt Begins

Perrin rides with Mat, maintaining distance from Rand and observing the strange smells of the abandoned villages. He crosses the river with the group and stands with the others at the square, joining the silent awe before the dead Myrddraal.
Chapter 11 - Glimmers of the Pattern
Perrin
Perrin listens to Rand's confession with his yellow eyes, acknowledges the danger Rand poses, and advises him that he cannot simply run away but must face his fate, before leaving him to reflect on the banner.
Chapter 14 - Wolfbrother
Perrin — aliases: Young Bull
Perrin uses his wolfbrother ability to contact a pack of wolves, learning their names and confirming they are hunting the Trollocs and Padan Fain southward. He suppresses the wolves' rage and disgust at the slaughtered villagers and tells Ingtar that wolves guided him to the trail, prompting Ingtar to cover for him by claiming Perrin is a sniffer.
Chapter 28 - A New Thread in the Pattern

Perrin rides with the group, sharing the wolves' memories of the Shadowkiller and reporting them to Ingtar. He observes the Aiel Urien with caution, grips his axe when Urien challenges the Aes Sedai, and discusses the prophecy of the Dragon with Mat after Urien leaves.

Perrin arrives with Mat at the burning inn, his yellow eyes shining in the firelight, standing behind Mat as they greet Rand.
Chapter 31 - On the Scent

Perrin arrives with Mat, his yellow eyes sharp as he internally acknowledges Rand as the 'Shadowkiller' and struggles with his own changing nature and appetites. He plays a stones board with Ingtar, deferring to Verin's authority, and supports Rand's decision to infiltrate Barthanes's manor while remaining wary of the Aes Sedai's influence.
Chapter 33 - A Message from the Dark

Perrin sits in the inn's private dining room reading a book when Rand and the others return. He observes their distress, agrees to join the ride to Toman Head, and makes a dry comment about keeping Mat out of trouble before departing.
Chapter 35 - Stedding Tsofu
Perrin
Rides silently into the stedding and asks Loial about the Longing. He holds his axe during the Aiel standoff, then joins the discussion about Rand's identity and waits for the Elders.

Perrin
Perrin struggles with the visions, his yellow eyes hidden as he reflects on fate and choice. He recovers and rides west with the party.
Chapter 44 - Five Will Ride Forth
Perrin
Perrin scouts a village with Mat and Hurin, using his wolfbrother senses to confirm the Children of the Light are not pursuing them. He later returns to camp and is selected by Verin as one of the five who will ride to Falme.
Chapter 45 - Blademaster
Perrin
Perrin infiltrates the house with the group, fights Seanchan soldiers with his axe, and follows Rand and Mat out of the building.
Chapter 47 - The Grave Is No Bar to My Call
Perrin
Perrin ties the Dragon banner to a pole, rides with the Heroes of the Horn into the mist with his axe, and fights side-by-side with Artur Hawkwing against the Seanchan.
Chapter 49 - What Was Meant to Be
Perrin
Perrin Aybara sits staring into the campfire and declares his intention to stay with Rand. He acknowledges the power of the Pattern that has woven them together since Emond's Field.
