Chapter 1 - Waiting

Perrin / Perrin Aybara

Perrin sits with his Shienaran companions in the mountains, using his enhanced vision to spot the approaching rider and killing a raven with his longbow. He leads Leya into the camp, deflecting her philosophical arguments about pacifism while suppressing his own growing unease. He finally arrives at the hidden valley, revealing it to be the camp of the Dragon Reborn.

Chapter 2 - Saidin

Perrin

Perrin warms himself by the fire and discusses Min’s vision of Leya’s death, deciding he cannot prevent it but wondering if it signals a camp attack. He listens as Loial explains ta’vearen to Min, then finds Rand in a secluded rocky vale where he witnesses Rand’s struggle with the pull of Saidin and an accidental earthquake caused by Rand’s power.

Chapter 3 - News from the Plain

Perrin observes Moiraine’s indifference to Rand’s accidental earthquake and attempts to convince Min to leave the dangerous camp by offering her silver for passage, but she refuses based on a parable about fate he shares with her. He listens to Moiraine’s report on the Whitecloaks and the Soulless, then accepts the third watch from Uno before retiring to his hut, where shivering dreams haunt him.

Chapter 4 - Shadows Sleeping

Perrin endures a cold, lingering feeling of dread while sitting by a fire, which transitions into a dream sequence where he is tempted by a mysterious man in shadows and a beautiful woman to accept the role of a heroic leader. He resists these urges, asserting his identity as a blacksmith, before finding himself in a dreamscape of stone spires where three men vanish in fire and a sword speaks to him, warning of the Twisted Ones. A wolf in the dream delivers the same warning, causing Perrin to wake up shaking with fear and anger.

Chapter 5 - Nightmares Walking

Perrin leaps from his bed to fight Trollocs, then encounters a Myrddraal who slays Leya. He takes on the wolf persona Young Bull to kill the Halfman and hunt the remaining Twisted Ones, later returning to his human self to receive healing from Moiraine and witness Rand's condition.

Chapter 6 - The Hunt Begins

Perrin wakes to find Rand gone and confronts Moiraine about the Dragon’s departure, demanding answers about the Forsaken and the nature of the Prophecies. He recounts his dream of the sword Callandor, which Moiraine confirms as a telepathic message from Rand, and reluctantly agrees to join the pursuit party heading to Tear.

Chapter 7 - The Way Out of the Mountains

Perrin rides with the group, observing Lan’s trail signs and resisting Moiraine’s gradual influence that leads him to take on her chores. He fishes with Loial, catches trout for meals, and feels the presence of wolves even as they leave the mountains, finally reaching the village of Jarra.

Chapter 8 - Jarra

Perrin — aliases: good master, blacksmith

Perrin rides into Jarra with his group and questions Simion to locate Rand, learning the Dragon had passed through eastward. He later confronts Moiraine about her silence and the dangers of ta'veren, and finally convinces Simion to release Noam from his cage, hiding his own yellow eyes to avoid Whitecloak attention.

Chapter 9 - Wolf Dreams

Perrin confronts Moiraine about his fear of becoming like Noam, learning that wolves exist partly in a world of dreams. He later dreams of shifting shadowy halls where he is saved from a dark entity by the wolf Hopper, waking with blood on his face and resolving to fight the loss of his self.

Chapter 27 - Tel’aran’rhiod

Perrin

In Egwene's dream, Perrin appears bound by a black chain to a stone pillar in a dark inn room, guarded by the wolf Hopper, before the door slams shut and the vision ends.

Chapter 33 - Within the Weave

Perrin — aliases: young master

Rides alongside Loial and observes the strange markings and events left by Rand. He enters the inn, notices a plain-dressed woman staring at him, and is dismissed by Lord Orban as a servant to Master Andra.

Chapter 34 - A Different Dance

Perrin / Perrin Aybara — aliases: wetlander, blacksmith

Perrin worries about the staring woman and the caged Aiel, then secretly frees the Aiel Gaul from the gibbet in the square. He fights alongside Gaul against a group of Whitecloaks, killing several men with his axe, and is later reprimanded by Lan for the incident before being ordered to prepare for an immediate escape.

Chapter 35 - The Falcon

Perrin / Perrin Aybara — aliases: farmboy, countryman

Perrin rushes to gather his gear and find Loial before fleeing Remen, later calming the horses for boarding and confronting Zarine Bashere on the deck of the Snow Goose, where he questions her motives and dismisses her theories about the Horn of Valere before going below to sleep.

Chapter 36 - Daughter of the Night

Perrin

Perrin falls asleep in the ship's cabin and enters a dream where Hopper guides him to a domain of mirrors where Ba'alzamon executes a Darkfriend. He wakes with a burn mark on his chest and reports the vision of Ba'alzamon and Lanfear to Moiraine, who examines him coldly before he leaves to find Zarine Bashere on deck.

Chapter 41 - A Hunter’s Oath

Perrin / Perrin Aybara — aliases: blacksmith, big man

Perrin stands on the deck observing the marshes and tanneries of Illian, trying to ignore Moiraine’s disapproval. He reluctantly allows Zarine to ride behind him on Stepper after she swears an oath to Moiraine, complaining internally about his new responsibility.
