Perrin / Perrin Aybara — aliases: the blacksmith's apprentice (l'apprendista fabbro)
Perrin si fa strada nella folla per parlare con Rand e Mat, esprimendo la sua paura che la guerra del Falso Drago e la presenza delle Aes Sedai portino la distruzione nelle Terre dei Fiumi. Conferma la propria visione del misterioso cavaliere e condivide l'ansia del gruppo mentre affrontano la collera di Nynaeve.
Chapter 4 - The Gleeman

Perrin ascolta Thom Merrilin e conferma i suoi viaggi nella Palude e nelle Montagne della Nebbia. Accetta di unirsi alle pattuglie di guardia se il Maestro Luhhan lo permette, e aiuta Rand a pianificare la ricerca di altri testimoni del Cavaliere Nero.
Chapter 10 - Leavetaking
Perrin — aliases: blacksmith (fabbro)
Perrin nasconde la sua ascia sotto il mantello finché Rand non lo interroga, dopodiché spiega che Master Luhhan gliel'ha data. Discute con Egwene sulla realtà dei Trollocs e segue Lan fuori dal villaggio.
Chapter 11 - The Road to Taren Ferry

Perrin accompanies the group to the baths, noting the facilities are almost as good as the Winespring Inn back home, and nearly contributes to the dangerous conversation about Trollocs before Thom intervenes. He joins the private meal and listens to the reports gathered by Lan, remaining quiet and observant.
Chapter 15 - Strangers and Friends

Perrin fights alongside the group, shouting the warcry and struggling against three Trollocs that have him pinned. He observes the ruined city and points out the collapsed nature of its walls, noting the lack of inhabitants.
Chapter 19 - Shadow’s Waiting
Perrin
Perrin accompanies the boys into the city, retrieves an axe from the treasure pile, helps restrain Mat from taking the gold, and confirms the group's flight as Mordeth vanishes and the shadowy watchers close in.
Chapter 20 - Dust on the Wind
Perrin
Perrin carefully navigates the ruins and meets Egwene at the gate before they are chased into the river. He swims to the far bank alone, shivering and terrified, unable to find Egwene among the Trollocs on the other side.
Chapter 22 - A Path Chosen
Perrin
Perrin si risveglia sotto un cumulo di rami di cedro, recupera la sua ascia e osserva con cautela il fiume Arinelle prima di seguire le orme dei cavalli per trovare Egwene. Prende il controllo della situazione, proponendo di viaggiare verso l'interno fino a Caemlyn per attendere Moiraine, e dà inizio alla partenza dando fuoco al loro falò nonostante le proteste di Egwene riguardo ai suoi vestiti bagnati.
Chapter 23 - Wolfbrother

Chapter 25 - The Traveling People

Perrin viaggia con Egwene ed Elyas, affidandosi al suo istintivo legame con i lupi per conoscerne la posizione. Sfida la filosofia di nonviolenza del Tink Raen, sostenendo che la violenza è talvolta necessaria per proteggere i deboli, e in seguito consola Egwene che piange confermando che Rand e Mat sono vivi.
Chapter 27 - Shelter From the Storm

Perrin si agita per la lentezza dei Tuatha'an e discute con Egwene se restare o fuggire. Chapter 29 - Eyes Without Pity

Perrin soffre di esaurimento e incubi, mentre insegue i corvi insieme a Elyas. Sente la battaglia tra i lupi e gli uccelli attraverso un legame psichico e percepisce una risata oscura nella propria mente. Entra nello stedding, beve dalla piscina e ascolta il racconto di Elyas su Artur Hawkwing, lottando con la propria identità e la paura.
Chapter 30 - Children of Shadow

Perrin stands by the pool with Elyas, struggling with his hate for his axe and his connection to the wolves, before Elyas leads the group to hide in the stedding with Egwene and Bela. He hides under Artur Hawkwing's statue with Egwene, sensing the approaching Children of the Light. When Hopper attacks to save him, Perrin screams and attacks the riders with his axe, then wakes up bound in Bornhald's tent, listening to Bornhald's interrogation and Byar's threats, where Bornhald declares that a gibbet waits for Perrin in Amador.
Chapter 33 - The Dark Waits

Chapter 38 - Rescue
Perrin
Bound and marching behind a horse, Perrin endures the cruel treatment of Child Byar and fears for himself and Egwene. He is rescued by Lan, steals a Whitecloak cloak, and reunites with his friends. He later has his bruises healed by Nynaeve and learns from Lan that his connection to the wolves may be the work of the Dark One, though Lan clarifies the ability itself is ancient.
Chapter 41 - Old Friends and New Threats

Perrin si riunisce al gruppo, apparendo abbattuto con occhi che si sono leggermente ingialliti. Si siede accanto al letto di Mat, affermando che sarebbe stato meglio se fossero tutti morti per smettere di portare dolore agli altri.
Chapter 42 - Remembrance of Dreams

Chapter 43 - Decisions and Apparitions

Perrin displays a mask of weary resignation but secretly feels eagerness at the prospect of hunting in the Blight. He sits quietly while the others debate, confirming the Tinker story about the Eye of the World and accepting the decision to join the group.
Chapter 44 - The Dark Along the Ways
Perrin
Perrin follows the group in the dark, appearing strange and nervous to Mat, and rides through the Waygate in shocked silence. He crowds close to Rand in the darkness for comfort and leads the pack horse through the Ways while the group travels.
Chapter 45 - What Follows in Shadow
Perrin
Perrin rides with the group as they are chased by the Black Wind, and helps secure the group's safety by staying close to the others.
Chapter 46 - Fal Dara
Perrin
Perrin accompanies the group, noting the silence of the refugee-filled streets of Fal Dara. He rides through the town and sits in Lord Agelmar's study, listening to the grim report on the Trolloc wars and the arrival of Fain.
Chapter 47 - More Tales of the Wheel
Perrin
Perrin fissa senza battere ciglio le briciole sul tavolo, con gli occhi gialli persi nel vuoto. Ricorda la strana permanenza di Fain nelle Two Rivers e ascolta la conferma che Fain fu costretto a cacciarli per anni.
Chapter 48 - The Blight

Perrin rides with the group, his golden eyes glowing fiercely. He takes the lead on horseback, using his axe to hew a path through the attacking forest and creatures. He avoids the Green Man's gaze initially, turning his horse away, before the Green Man acknowledges him as a Wolfbrother.
Chapter 50 - Meetings at the Eye

Perrin enters the sanctuary feeling the Green Man's peace but remains wary of the Dark One's influence. He draws his axe in defense of Nynaeve against the Forsaken but is thrown back by Aginor's power. He manages to stand and runs with the group as they flee the cavern.
Chapter 52 - There Is Neither Beginning Nor End

Perrin porta un grande fascio di panno bianco contenente lo stendardo del Drago. Esprime il forte desiderio di tornare a casa e mette in dubbio la destinazione di Illian, mostrando i suoi occhi gialli e un comportamento stoico.
Chapter 53 - The Wheel Turns

Perrin brings up the rear with his axe across the pommel of his saddle. Later, Mat asks Moiraine how they struck a blow to the Shadow, and she replies that they must sleep. Moiraine then shows the Horn of Valere to Lord Agelmar in his study, stating that it must be carried to Illian, leaving the Lord looking disappointed that the Horn's place is not in the Borderlands.
