Uno argues heatedly with Ragan about seeing a woman before they found the Halfman, then serves as a scout under Ingtar's orders to track the quarry's movements.

Chapter 14 - Wolfbrother

Uno searches the ground with frustration, reporting no tracks before validating Perrin’s new sniffer status when he finds Trolloc tracks later. He accepts Ingtar’s explanation for Perrin’s abilities and rides with the party toward the south.

Chapter 28 - A New Thread in the Pattern

Uno scouts ahead and reports spotting an Aielman in the rocks. He rides with the group, expressing disgust at having been seen and later calling Urien a 'crazy bloody Aiel' after the encounter.

Chapter 35 - Stedding Tsofu

Uno accompanies the group into the stedding and is ordered by Ingtar to leave the armed men outside. He enters the forest with Erith and remains with the group inside.

Chapter 37 - What Might Be

Uno curses at someone hanging back and later kneels on the ground to scrub the back of his hand across his mouth after the power surge.

Chapter 41 - Disagreements

Uno searches the empty village, reporting back that the inhabitants fled with their livestock and carts, leaving only scattered debris and clothes behind.

Chapter 44 - Five Will Ride Forth

Uno — aliases: soldier

Uno alerts the group to approaching horsemen and later protests to stay with the five riders, only to be ordered by Ingtar to lead the rest of the force hidden behind them.

Chapter 49 - What Was Meant to Be

Uno — aliases: one-eyed man

Uno speaks for the Shienaran soldiers, declaring that their oaths to Ingtar and Agelmar are broken by the Dragon's return. He draws his sword and pledges his loyalty to Rand.
