Chapter 6 - Dark Prophecy

Ingtar fights the Myrddraal outside the dungeon and later reports to Rand that the Horn of Valere has been stolen during the attack. He reveals that the gates were opened from the inside by traitors and that Lord Agelmar has sealed the keep tighter.
Chapter 8 - The Dragon Reborn

Ingtar is seen in the outer courtyard with a group of Shienarans and Warders, preparing for departure. He stands with armor on, while the horses and pack animals are readied for the journey to find the Horn of Valere.
Chapter 9 - Leavetakings

Ingtar rides with his Gray Owl banner, receiving the Amyrlin’s charge to find the Horn. He introduces Hurin the sniffer to Rand and follows the trail south after the Horn's theft.
Chapter 10 - The Hunt Begins

Ingtar pushes the company to a grueling pace south, eventually ordering them to trot to save the horses, and leads the investigation of abandoned camps and murders along the trail. He commands the search of the River Erinin village, oversees the burial of Changu and Nidao, and orders the party to depart after discovering a dead Myrddraal.
Chapter 11 - Glimmers of the Pattern

Chapter 14 - Wolfbrother

Ingtar demands answers for the vanishing of Rand, Hurin, and Loial, then accepts Perrin’s fabricated sniffer identity to maintain control over the party’s perception. He rides with Verin, answering her detailed questions about Rand while keeping the truth of Perrin’s abilities hidden from the rest of the group.
Chapter 28 - A New Thread in the Pattern

Ingtar questions the necessity of using the Portal Stone and initially resists Verin's authority, but eventually pledges to follow her to Shayol Ghul if it means recovering the Horn. After the chaotic journey, he stands with his sword drawn, trembling, before Verin steadies him with a comforting touch.
Chapter 41 - Disagreements

Ingtar commands the group to trot and dismounts to investigate the empty village, ordering Uno to search for survivors or supplies. He argues firmly with Verin and Rand, insisting on searching the ground with Hurin for the Horn rather than riding blindly to Falme. Verin questions his refusal to trust the written prophecy, and Ingtar clarifies his intent to find the Horn himself. He then organizes soldiers to disguise Hurin for tracking.
