Ingtar is seen leading a column of mounted men and women, along with a palanquin and drummers, emerging from the forest and entering Fal Dara on behalf of the Amyrlin Seat.
Chapter 6 - Dark Prophecy

Ingtar fights the Myrddraal outside the dungeon and later reports to Rand that the Horn of Valere has been stolen during the attack. He reveals that the gates were opened from the inside by traitors and that Lord Agelmar has sealed the keep tighter.
Chapter 8 - The Dragon Reborn

Ingtar is seen in the outer courtyard with a group of Shienarans and Warders, preparing for departure. He stands with armor on, while the horses and pack animals are readied for the journey to find the Horn of Valere.
Chapter 9 - Leavetakings
Ingtar — aliases: Lord Ingtar
Ingtar rides with his Gray Owl banner, receiving the Amyrlin’s charge to find the Horn. He introduces Hurin the sniffer to Rand and follows the trail south after the Horn's theft.
Chapter 10 - The Hunt Begins

Ingtar pushes the company to a grueling pace south, eventually ordering them to trot to save the horses, and leads the investigation of abandoned camps and murders along the trail. He commands the search of the River Erinin village, oversees the burial of Changu and Nidao, and orders the party to depart after discovering a dead Myrddraal.
Chapter 11 - Glimmers of the Pattern

Ingtar calls an early halt to set up a defensible camp, orders scouts, and informs Rand that Lord Agelmar appointed him as second-in-command, delivering a bundle from Moiraine and stating that the lances will follow Rand if he falls.
Chapter 14 - Wolfbrother

Ingtar demands answers for the vanishing of Rand, Hurin, and Loial, then accepts Perrin’s fabricated sniffer identity to maintain control over the party’s perception. He rides with Verin, answering her detailed questions about Rand while keeping the truth of Perrin’s abilities hidden from the rest of the group.
Chapter 28 - A New Thread in the Pattern

Ingtar presses Perrin repeatedly for details about the 'Shadowkiller' and the wolves' reports. He dismounts to greet Urien, questioning the Aiel about signs of Darkfriends before losing interest and ordering his men to dismount and remove armor as they near Cairhien.
Chapter 30 - Daes Dae’mar

Ingtar arrives at the scene of the fire, dismounting in a high-collared coat with his sword hilt visible, joining Mat and Perrin to meet Rand.
