Chapter 3 - The Peddler
Nynaeve / Nynaeve al'Meara — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve sembra rimproverare Rand, Mat e Perrin per le loro sciocche chiacchiere sul Tenebroso e sul Drago Rinato. Disprezza il modo in cui il Consiglio ha gestito la situazione e annuncia la sua intenzione di interrogare Fain. Avverte Mat riguardo alla sua lingua, poi scompare nella locanda, lasciando Egwene indietro.
Chapter 4 - The Gleeman
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve esce dalla locanda insieme al Consiglio del Villaggio e affronta Bran al'Vere riguardo al falso Drago e alla mancanza di preoccupazione per la sicurezza del villaggio, prima di allontanarsi infastidita.
Chapter 7 - Out of the Woods
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve esamina la ferita di Tam e dichiara che non può essere guarito, affermando che è troppo tardi. Rimane impassibile e ferma, dando priorità alle cure degli altri villaggi feriti rispetto al padre di Rand, e rifiuta di cambiare decisione nonostante le suppliche di Rand.
Chapter 16 - The Wisdom
Nynaeve / Wisdom Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve segue Moiraine fino a Baerlon ed esige che i ragazzi tornino a Emond's Field, contestando l'autorità della Aes Sedai; in seguito parla con Rand per rassicurarlo riguardo alle sue origini e nega di aver rivelato la sua storia a Moiraine.
Chapter 17 - Watchers and Hunters
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve balla nella sala comune, poi se ne va con il gruppo. Litiga con Moiraine riguardo alla locanda in fiamme e alla sicurezza dei ragazzi, finendo per accettare di viaggiare con loro verso Emond's Field.
Chapter 18 - The Caemlyn Road
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve rides alongside Moiraine, arguing for faster travel and later assisting the exhausted Aes Sedai. She gives Moiraine a packet of herbs after the battle and watches the argument between Moiraine and Lan before proceeding to the ruined city.
Chapter 19 - Shadow’s Waiting
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve si prende cura della stanchezza di Moiraine, rimprovera i ragazzi per la loro avventatezza e ascolta il loro resoconto su Mordeth, esprimendo preoccupazione per la prolungata assenza di Lan.
Chapter 21 - Listen to the Wind

Nynaeve si risveglia in una cavità, segue il gruppo e affronta Moiraine e Lan. Dopo che Moiraine dimostra che Nynaeve può canalizzare descrivendo le sue reazioni passate e la guarigione di Egwene, Nynaeve ammette il suo potere e accetta a malincuore di viaggiare verso sud con le Aes Sedai e il Warder per trovare Egwene e i ragazzi.
Chapter 28 - Footprints in Air

Nynaeve viaggia con Moiraine e Lan, meravigliandosi del Ponte Bianco e indignandosi per il comportamento calmo di Moiraine e la sua insistenza nel portarla a Tar Valon. Esamina la piazza bruciata insieme a Moiraine, raccogliendo le testimonianze dei cittadini terrorizzati, e in seguito chiede di sapere che fine abbia fatto Egwene durante una discussione tesa con l'Aes Sedai e Lan nella locanda.
Chapter 33 - The Dark Waits

Rulan Allwine, il locandiere, è descritto come un uomo robusto con un grembiule bianco lucente, intento a gestire la affollata sala comune e il personale della cucina.
Chapter 37 - The Long Chase
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve attende con impazienza Moiraine e Lan, poi li segue fino a un accampamento dei Whitecloak. Si avvicina furtivamente alle linee dei cavalli, tagliando le corde di ancoraggio mentre si nasconde dalle guardie, e monta la giumenta Bela proprio mentre Moiraine crea una distrazione con un fulmine, permettendole di fuggire nel caos.
Chapter 38 - Rescue
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve arrives on Bela, rescuing Egwene and Perrin from the camp. She tends to Perrin's bruises with a fast-acting ointment and confronts Moiraine about Perrin's condition. She shares her frustration with the Aes Sedai regarding the search for Rand and Mat.
Chapter 41 - Old Friends and New Threats
Nynaeve / Wisdom
Nynaeve si riunisce a Rand, quindi tenta di curare la febbre di Mat, ma viene allontanata da Moiraine quando si rende conto della natura della malattia di Mat. Chiede se la condizione è contagiosa e se Moiraine può fare qualcosa.
Chapter 42 - Remembrance of Dreams
Nynaeve — aliases: the Wisdom (la Saggezza)
Nynaeve comforts a crying Egwene and listens to the grim news about the Eye of the World. She sharply rebukes Moiraine for frightening the group with talk of the Pattern and the Dark One's power. She stands with the women as Moiraine outlines the new plan to escape via the Ways.
Chapter 43 - Decisions and Apparitions
Nynaeve
Nynaeve angrily questions the decision to enter the Ways but accepts her place in the Pattern alongside Egwene. She creates a list of supplies needed for the journey and challenges Moiraine's authority with a veiled threat about her own abilities.
Chapter 44 - The Dark Along the Ways
Nynaeve
Nynaeve goes to her mare, follows the group through the alleys, and complains about the smells in the narrow passages. She passes through the Waygate in shocked silence and joins the huddled group in the dark.
Chapter 45 - What Follows in Shadow
Nynaeve
Nynaeve questions Moiraine about the safety of the Ways and the taint. She is shaken by the discovery of the Trolloc runes and the nature of Machin Shin, shivering at the entity's hunger for life.
Chapter 46 - Fal Dara
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve viaggia con il gruppo, reagendo ai segni di abbandono nelle fattorie e alla folla di Fal Dara. Rifiuta fermamente il suggerimento di Rand che lei ed Egwene dovrebbero restare indietro, affermando il loro posto nel Pattern. Mangia e beve in silenzio nella sala da pranzo.

Chapter 48 - The Blight

Nynaeve viaggia con il gruppo, sopportando il calore e l'odore della Macchia. Organizza l'illuminazione dell'accampamento e in seguito condivide una tazza di tè con Lan, confessando la sua presa di coscienza della sua regalità ed esprimendo il desiderio di andare a Tar Valon per diventare una Aes Sedai.
Chapter 49 - The Dark One Stirs

Nynaeve has not slept, her eyes red-rimmed. She talks quietly with Egwene in the morning camp. She rides with the group, shivering in the Blight's heat and rubbing her arms. She calls out to Lan as the Worms pursue them and stares with her jaw dropped at the Green Man.
Chapter 50 - Meetings at the Eye

Nynaeve entra nel santuario e indossa una corona di fiori. Corre verso i Forsaken per attaccare Aginor con il suo coltello, ma viene afferrata da Balthamel, che le schiaccia il viso e la solleva in aria, facendola svenire e cadere senza vita sulle radici nodose della quercia che ha sostituito l'Uomo Verde.
Chapter 51 - Against the Shadow

An illusion of Nynaeve appears in Ba'alzamon's chamber alongside Egwene to torment Rand, standing pale and frightened before blurring and dissipating.
Chapter 52 - There Is Neither Beginning Nor End
Nynaeve — aliases: Wisdom (Saggezza)
Nynaeve sits with the women, her eyes old and regretful as she warns Rand that he is too dangerous. She helps lift the weakened Moiraine and shares in the revelation of what the Eye contained, showing concern for the future of the group and Rand's path.
Chapter 53 - The Wheel Turns
Nynaeve — aliases: the Wisdom (la Saggezza)
Nynaeve aiuta a sostenere Moiraine sulla lettiga e stabilisce barriere insieme all'Aes Sedai e a Egwene. Viaggia a cavallo con il gruppo attraverso il Blight mentre si ritira, osservando la improvvisa crescita primaverile che segue la loro uscita.
