Un membro dell'equipaggio del Spray dal viso stretto che cerca di dare la colpa a Rand per averlo ferito e lo accusa di essere un Servitore dell'Oscurità. Viene licenziato dal Capitano Domon dopo aver mentito riguardo al fissaggio del bompresso.

Floran Gelb dirige i sospetti dell'equipaggio contro i giovani, sostenendo che abbiano portato i Trolloc. Viene isolato dall'equipaggio per la sua arroganza, relegato ai lavori più sporchi e osserva i ragazzi con intento omicida mentre lavorano.

Gelb is dismissed from the Spray by Domon and lands on the dock with hatred for Rand. Later in the inn, he sits on the other side of the wall, loudly claiming to the other patrons that Rand, Mat, and Thom are Darkfriends connected to Trollocs, attempting to turn the townspeople against them.
