Chapter 25 - Cairhien

Thom appears on stage in a Foregate hall, performing a tale about Rogosh Eagle-eye. He recognizes Rand, signals him to meet privately, and confirms he survived the Fade while asking Rand to bring his harp and flute to The Bunch of Grapes.

Chapter 26 - Discord

Thom / Thom Merrilin — aliases: gleeman (juglar), old fool, uncle

Thom returns to his room with Dena and is brought Rand's instruments. He reacts with laughter to the news of the Horn but ultimately refuses Rand's offer to join the quest, citing his affection for Dena and fear of the Great Game. He shares prophecies with Rand, reveals his nephew Owyn was gentled by the Red Ajah, and is later admonished by Zera to marry Dena.

Chapter 32 - Dangerous Words

Thom / Thom Merrilin — aliases: gleeman (juglar)

Thom Merrilin aparece en el escenario, aparentemente ignorando inicialmente a Rand. Más tarde habla en privado con Rand en una habitación abarrotada, bebe vino y advierte a Rand sobre los peligros de la política de Cairhien y la implicación de la Torre Blanca. Le aconseja que se tenga cuidado y luego regresa a su actuación.

Chapter 34 - The Wheel Weaves

Thom / Merrilin — aliases: gleeman (juglar)

Thom regresa a su habitación de la posada para encontrar a Dena muerta y mata a dos asesinos escondidos en los armarios. Tras Zera revela que Barthanes está muerto y que los asesinos trabajaban para Galldrian, Thom se prepara para abandonar Cairhien, consciente del peligro que enfrenta.
