Silencia con severidad a Egwene, entrega a Mat a Sheriam mientras conserva su saco de cuero, y exige con urgencia una audiencia inmediata con la Silla de Amyrlin antes de dejar a los demás bajo el cuidado de Sheriam.

Verin trae el Cuerno de Valere, confirmando a Rand al'Thor como el Dragón Renacido y revelando que Mat Cauthon lo posee y que tiene una herida mortal de Shadar Logoth. Advierte a Siuan sobre el uso del Poder Único por parte de los Seanchan y detalla las actividades de las hermanas fugitivas ante la exigencia de Siuan.

Verin reveals a fragmented page about Ba’alzamon and provides files on Liandrin to Egwene. She explains the theory of Tel’aran’rhiod and gifts Egwene a twisted stone ring ter’angreal to aid in dreaming. After Egwene departs, Verin conceals Corianin Nedeal’s research notes within her red box, deciding to leave the events of the Pattern as they are.

Verin appears in the kitchens, asking the women if they have found anything, and is described as blinking and looking surprised and puzzled to be there.
