Una mujer alta y hermosa vestida de seda blanca y plata aparece en la habitación de Mat, afirmando que sus intereses coinciden con los suyos y advirtiéndole sobre los planes de las Aes Sedai y la presencia de la Ajah Negra. Le ofrece riqueza y gloria si confía en ella, pero desaparece repentinamente al sentir algo afuera, dejando a Mat confundido y desconfiado.

Selene, a tall and striking woman in silver and white silk, intercepts Egwene in the galleries. She speaks to Egwene with an air of superiority and command before vanishing into thin air, leaving Egwene searching for her in the empty corridors.
