Ba'alzamon aparece en el sueño de Perrin de pie sobre un campo de espejos, vestido de negro con encajes plateados. Ejecuta a un Amigo de la Sombra que permitió que Mat Cauthon escapara de Tar Valon convirtiéndolo en niebla, y confronta a Lanfear sobre su lealtad al Uno Oscuro.

Ba'alzamon — aliases: Great Lord of the Dark

Ba'alzamon descends from the shadows to attack Rand, claiming his soul and twisting reality against him. He flees after Rand touches Callandor, using the Stone's power to create deadly traps in the halls. Rand pursues him through shifting environments, eventually plunging Callandor into his chest, causing Ba'alzamon's shadow to vanish and his physical body to fall lifeless.
