Summary

The Karaethon Cycle prophecies foretell the shattering of what men have made and the return of the Shadow across the Pattern of the Age, with the Dark One laying his hand upon the world of man. Women will weep and men quail as nations are destroyed. One will be born to face the Shadow, known as the Dragon Reborn, whose arrival will break the world and tear apart all ties. Like the unfettered dawn, he will blind and burn, yet confront the Shadow at the Last Battle, his blood providing light for salvation, prompting the people of the world to weep for their deliverance.
