Liandrin joins the group with a cold demeanor, displaying hostility toward Moiraine's wards and irritation at the idle talk, eventually forcing the group to proceed to the Amyrlin with aggressive haste.

Liandrin confronts Lady Amalisa in her chambers, using her channeling and psychological pressure to intimidate and manipulate Amalisa into secretly hunting for the three boys and removing them from Fal Dara.
Chapter 6 - Dark Prophecy
Liandrin — aliases: Red Aes Sedai
Liandrin confronts Rand in the dungeon, attempting to bind him with the Power to force an answer, before Moiraine intervenes. She criticizes Moiraine's decision to have the Amyrlin Heal Mat and leaves the dungeon with cold detachment.
Chapter 38 - Practice
Liandrin / Liandrin Sedai
Liandrin visits the novice quarters unannounced to inform Egwene and Nynaeve that their friends are in danger on Toman Head and that the Black Ajah exists within the Tower. She commands them to meet her at sunset to journey to Toman Head to assist the boys, warning them never to reveal her identity or the mission to anyone.
