Raen — aliases: Seeker (Sucher), Mahdi (Mahdi)

Raen ist der graubärtige Anführer der Tuatha'an-Bande, bekannt als der Sucher. Er empfängt Elyas und die Jugendlichen an seinem Feuer, erklärt die Suche der Tinker nach einem verlorenen Lied und berichtet von einer Warnung eines sterbenden Kriegermädchens im Aiel-Wüstenland bezüglich des Dunklen Herrn.

Raen senses trouble by looking at the sky and smelling the air, deciding to change the Tuatha'an's direction. He cancels plans for a farewell feast due to the need for an early start, exchanges ceremonial words of peace with Elyas, and sees them to the edge of the trees.
