Master Gill plays stones with Loial, warns Rand to leave Caemlyn quickly due to Elaida's influence, and confronts the Whitecloak officers in the common room to protect his inn and guests. He greets Moiraine and accepts her offer to pay for her stay.

Chapter 43 - Decisions and Apparitions

Master Gill enters the library multiple times to light lamps, bring food, and report on the Whitecloaks outside. He agrees to arrange their supplies and warns them that he will wake them before daybreak, grinning about leaving the watchers an empty box.

Master Gill waits with the group, speaks with the stableman Ramey, and reassures Moiraine of his loyalty to the Queen and Tar Valon. He wishes the group well as they prepare to leave.
