Uma mulher alta e bela, vestida de seda branca e prata, aparece no quarto de Mat, afirmando que seus interesses coincidem com os dele e alertando-o sobre os planos das Aes Sedai e a presença de uma Ajah Negra. Ela lhe oferece riqueza e glória se ele confiar nela, mas desaparece repentinamente ao sentir algo lá fora, deixando Mat confuso e desconfiado.

Selene, a tall and striking woman in silver and white silk, intercepts Egwene in the galleries. She speaks to Egwene with an air of superiority and command before vanishing into thin air, leaving Egwene searching for her in the empty corridors.
