Elaida confronts the three women, physically intimidating Elayne into obedience and interrogating them about their travels and the Black Ajah. Elayne apologizes to Elaida Sedai, claiming she forgot herself. Elaida questions them about Rand al’Thor, a youth from their village, before being interrupted by Sheriam.

Chapter 23 - Sealed

Elaida — aliases: Aes Sedai (Aes Sedai)

Elaida recupera os pertences e os documentos de Egwene, proferindo um monólogo severo sobre a condição de Egwene como uma Aes Sedai não juramentada e expressando dúvidas de que ela algum dia venha a pertencer verdadeiramente à Torre Branca. Ela deixa a câmara sem esperar por uma resposta.
