A stout, muscular woman known as a Wisdom, Guenna tests Nynaeve’s knowledge of herbs to verify her skill before offering them tea and lodging. She agrees to house the three women after they explain they are hunting murderers, and she provides the name of Juilin Sandar, a skilled thief-catcher, to assist their quest.

Chapter 49 - A Storm in Tear

Ailhuin introduces Juilin Sandar to the women and vouches for his honesty despite his haggling nature. She later prepares fish soup for supper and discusses herbal cures with Nynaeve before showing the women to their rooms.

A Mãe Guenna, uma Sábida robusta, trata a tosse de Thom com um chá de sabor desagradável e uma pomada, e então revela que as três mulheres que Mat procura foram levadas à Pedra de Tear por Aes Sedai sob as ordens do Alto Senhor Samon. Ela concorda em manter Thom sob seus cuidados enquanto Mat parte para a estalagem da Lua Branca.
